    R&D LABORATORY INTRODUCTION

Purpose of the R&D laboratory; primarily in demand analysis in R&D projects, quality control and verification. Another main purpose is to contribute to the evaluation of the potential for improvement in all processes and activities of the company. It aims to be reference laboratory in the sector with its service and operating capacity.

    THERMOSCIENTIFIC ELEMENT GD PLUS(GD-MS)

The device that has been only 72 unit around the world, is available within Akdaş in Turkey. This device analyse over 50 elements, in a wide range, such as parts per billion (ppb) to percentage level ,by using high voltage, breaks the elements from the surface of the sample, and analyzes elements by separating their mass.

This device is used in the production of reference materials in terms of sensitivity.

    LECO CS 744

It is a spectrometer capable of carbon and sulphur analysis by burning elements under oxygen gas. The consistency of the LECO CS device in carbon and sulphur values has been recognized worldwide. Can be analyzed from powder or solid sample.

    LECO ONH 836

It can burn the sample with an electric arc and analyze oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen gases up to one particle per million (ppm). These critical gases, which cannot be measured in the GD-MS device, can be measured in the LECO device. Can be analyzed from powder or solid sample.

    MTS C45-305

It is a tensile device that can perform tensile test at both room temperature and high temperature ( up to a max.1000 °C) up to a force of 300 kN. It allows us to read the yield force and percentage elongation more precisely through extensometers installed on it and the device’s software.

    MTS Exceed 22-452

It is a device that can perform charpy impact testing at room temperature up to 450 kJ energy or at -180 °C with the help of a liquid nitrogen tube.

    EMCOTEST 30 G5

It is a device that can measure hardness in Brinell and Vickers values. It automatically measures the hardness value due to its optical camera

    MICROSTRUCTURE INSPECTION DEVICES

These are devices used in cutting, surface correction, mountaing, sanding/polishing operations to prepare samples coming to the laboratory for microstructre examination. After preparation, the sample is examined under a microscope capable of enlarging 100x,200x,400x and 1000x. With the software used in the microscope, photos of microstructures can be taken and the surface studied can be viewed live in a computer enviroment.
